A very small crowd at the Armory saw a convincing victory by the WWHS Flying Eagles over the Nitro Wildcats. 4 players for the Eagles scored in double figures. WWHS shot well from the Free Throw line, played very good defense and made lots of assists. Three point shooting was poor, but that will improve as the season progresses. Steven (Stephen?) Thompson continued his fine play from last year. Other than picking up two quick fouls he played a solid game. This young guy hustles ALL the time. His inside game is great. I saw a lot of TEAM from the WWHS squad. I hope this continues throughout the season.
One real positive note. No parking fee at the Armory this year YAY But the price of consessions went up.. BOO

Very impressive victory by the Flying Eagles last night....I do wonder what Gene and Brian think when they come out on to the court and see so few people in the stands......They always played in front of packed crowds during their days at Woodrow......As Lewport said, it is very sad.............The parking is free now and ticket prices aren't overly expensive, especially for students....................Maybe a few more wins like last night will put more people in the stands possibly.............I was very impressed with the onslaught of players Kidd was able to put to use last night, there was no real dropoff when he dipped into the bench..............................Get another win Thursday. ;D ;D
